In 1926 the company's operating assets were taken over by Australian Paper Manufacturers Ltd. The company continued in existence as a holding company and in 1948 shareholders in Cumberland Paper Board Mills Ltd exchanged their holdings for shares in Australasian Paper & Pulp Co Ltd and in 1954 shareholders in Australasian Paper & Pulp Co Ltd agreed to exchange their holdings for shares in Australian Paper Manufacturers Ltd the company then went into liquidation.
