Summary

Established in 1835, Tooth & Co was incorporated in New South Wales in 1888. In 1905 the Company acquired the Mittagong Maltings; 1921 Castlemaine Brewery & Wood Brothers, Newcastle; 1929 Resch's Ltd; 1977 Wright, Heaton & Co and Penfolds Wines Ltd.

1983 acquired by Carlton & United Breweries (see Elders IXL Ltd).
