Summary

Established in 1840 and incorporated in England in 1856 as The Scottish Australian Investment Co Ltd, name changed in 1933. In 1972, jointly with Industrial Equity Ltd, acquired Pitt, Son & Badgery. (sold to Elder Smith Goldsbrough Mort in 1976). In 1972, on the transfer of the company's tax domicile from London to Sydney the name was changed to The Scottish Australian Holding Company. 1974 Scottish Australian merged with Marra Developments Ltd. The Company was delisted in 1984.
