Summary
The company was established by Colonel J.R. Ballenger when he purchased the Yorkshire Brewery in Collingwood, Victoria. Ballenger had worked for many years with the Carlton Brewing Ltd. Formed as direct opposition to the new combine of Carlton and United Breweries Ltd, the company was not able to establish itself in the market place and was liquidated in 1909.
