In October 1964, Courtauld Ltd, UK, acquired a majority shareholding. In May 1969 Hilton corporation purchased the Courtauld Ltd Australian textile interests. In July 1969 the company merged operations with the Hilton Group and the other textile interest of Courtaulds Ltd. UK, after Courtauld Ltd, UK had offered to buy 50% of shares owned by each Hilton Corp Ltd shareholder in the company.
The company's name changed to Courtauld Hilton Limited.
