Summary
In 1939 Edward J. Connellan obtained the rights from the Commonwealth Government to establish a mail service between Alice Springs and Wyndham in Western Australian. He subsequently established an air transport company Survey and Inland Transport Company (c1940). The company was renamed Connellan Airways Ltd in 1943. A further name change occurred in 1970 when Connellan Airways Limited became Connair Pty Ltd.
