Summary
Butler Air Transport was formed by Pilot, aircraft designer and builder Cecil A. Butler (1902-1980) in 1934 to provide passenger and mail services in New South Wales and Southern Queensland.
1938 saw the route established by Adastra Airways Pty Ltd being acquired.
In 1946 the business became known as Butler Air Transport Pty Ltd and in 1952 it became known as Butler Air Transport Ltd. The company became Airlines of N.S.W. in 1959
