Summary
Born in 1819 in Glasgow James McCulloch arrived in Melbourne in 1853 aboard the "Adelaide" to open a branch, along with Robert Sellar, of the English firm J. & A. Dennistoun. In 1862 he opened his of business. McCulloch was involved with many community organisations and in 1854 became a member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly.
McCulloch died in England on 31 January 1893.
