In 1971 to reflect the expanded operation sof the businessthe name of Westfield Development Corporation Limited was chnaged to Westfield Limited.

Following a restructure of the company in 1979 Westfield Limited was delisted and two new entities were created - Westfield Holdings Limited and Westfield Property Trust.
